Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 August 2026
1. About this policy
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. This page explains the cookies set by The London Sleep Apnoea Clinic (thelondonsleepapnoeaclinic.co.uk), what they do, and how long they last. It complements our Privacy Policy.
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and the booking/staff portal. Under UK PECR, strictly-necessary cookies do not require a consent banner, but we are required to tell you about them clearly. We do not use analytics, advertising, social or third-party tracking cookies.
2. Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-<project>-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to the booking and staff areas; required for authentication. | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out (refreshed on use) | Lovable Cloud (Supabase), first-party |
| sidebar:state | Remembers whether the admin sidebar is expanded or collapsed. | Strictly necessary (UI preference) | 7 days | First-party |
3. Cookies we do NOT use
We do not set or load any of the following on this site:
- Analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, Hotjar).
- Advertising or retargeting cookies (e.g. Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight).
- Social media sharing or embed cookies.
- Fingerprinting or cross-site tracking technologies.
4. Third-party services
We do not take card payments on this website, so no payment-provider scripts or cookies are loaded here. Fees are settled with the CQC-registered hospital hosting your appointment, or in clinic.
Clinic email (booking confirmations, reminders and enquiry alerts) is sent using Stackmail, our email provider. Email does not set any cookies in your browser.
5. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers also offer a "private" or "incognito" mode that discards cookies when the window is closed. Helpful guides:
Please note: blocking the authentication cookie will sign you out of the booking and staff areas and prevent you from completing a booking.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies — for example if we introduce analytics in future — we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.
7. Contact
Questions about cookies or your data should be sent to our Data Protection Officer, Dr Nikesh Devani, at referrals@drnikeshdevani.co.uk.
