Dr Devani graduated with a distinction in clinical sciences from University College London in 2010 and completed his specialist training in respiratory and general medicine in the North Central/East London Deanery.
He was appointed as a consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine at the Royal Free Hospital in North London in 2021. He cares for patients with a broad range of respiratory and general medical problems and has a sub-specialty interest in sleep and ventilation, respiratory failure and breathlessness.
Dr Devani has undertaken research within sleep apnoea, respiratory failure and sleep diagnostics. He has published and collaborated on several peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. He has a keen interest in quality and service improvement and formed part of the team winning a BMJ Award in 2019 for transformation of diagnostic pathways. Dr Devani is the Training Programme Director for Respiratory Medicine in North Central / East London and is actively involved in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his young family, playing tennis and is a gardening enthusiast.
